We invite you to participate in my ukulele event in the Bay Area!
The workshop will be held in a spacious private home in Vacaville, CA (50 min drive from San Fransisco) & hosted by my dear friends & ukulele community members Genevieve and Wesley and their wonderful family. ❤️
I will guide you through all of the essential steps needed to boost your playing to the next level. We will be focusing on how to put together a song and learn to play with other musicians. When playing with the group you will be assigned a part that suits your skill level. I will also introduce you to various techniques such as: strumming, fingerstyle, percussive and how to feel the rhythm. This workshop is suitable for all levels of playing, even if you're a complete beginner! Above all, we'll be crafting music together and enjoying plenty of jam sessions! Anticipate an abundance of fun at this event!
Part 1 (10:00am - 4:30pm)
- 🏋️♂️ Section 1: Exercises, warm-ups and eartraining (rhythm, melodies, chords, percussive ukulele). You will learn the essential tools needed to develop your playing skills and musicality.
- 🎸 Section 2: Fingerstyle, strumming, percussive playing. In this workshop I will be teaching you 3 main ukulele techniques. I will break it down for you step by step and we will play songs arranged especially for our ukulele group. Each participant will recieve a unique part to play.
- 👥 Section 3: We will focus on how to play with other musicians in a group.
- 🍔 Lunch, snacks and beverages included.
